Curry, Smith Jr. Headline 2019 NBA All Star Betting Odds

Stephen Curry will be looking to claim a second career victory in the Three-Point Contest when the Golden State Warriors superstar makes his return to the popular All-Star Weekend event on Saturday as a strong +200 favorite on the NBA All-Star odds.

Curry has participated in the Three-Point Contest on three previous occasions, including a record-smashing performance that powered him to victory in 2015. But Curry will face some stiff competition when he hits the floor for Saturday night's NBA All-Star Weekend festivities at Spectrum Center in Charlotte.

Sacramento Kings shooting guard Buddy Hield sits second to Curry as a +400 wager on the NBA specials to claim this year's Three-Point title, just ahead of reigning Three-Point Contest champion Devin Booker, who rounds out the front of the pack at +450.

Hield has emerged as a legitimate
threat from beyond the arc this season while averaging 3.4 three-pointers per
game, and has already racked up a career-high 193 three-pointers in just 56
game appearances this season.

Booker returns to the Three-Point
Contest for the third time in four years, and will be aiming to build on last
year's record-setting performance. The Phoenix Suns shooting guard topped
Curry's records for most points in a round and most points in the finals while
claiming his first career Three-Point crown, but has struggled at times this
season while averaging 2.1 three-pointers per game.

Smith Jr. Leads Slam Dunk
Contest NBA Odds

Dennis Smith Jr. is the lone competitor making a return appearance in this year's Slam Dunk Contest. The New York Knicks point guard was forced to settle for a third-place finish in his Slam Dunk Contest debut a year ago, but has emerged as a slim favorite to lead the way in this year's competition, sporting +200 odds in NBA basketball betting.

This year's Slam Dunk Contest features a short field of just four competitors, with John Collins and Miles Bridges closely trailing Smith, each with +225 NBA odds, while Hamidou Diallo trails at +300.

Players representing the Atlanta
Hawks have powered to victory in the Slam Dunk Contest on four previous
occasions, a tradition of winning that Collins hopes to continue. The
second-year pro, who played his college ball at nearby Wake Forest, will be
looking to follow in the footsteps of former Hawks Josh Smith, Spud Webb, and
Dominique Wilkins, who combined to win the event on four occasions between 1985
and 2005.

Bridges developed a solid
reputation for throwing down monster dunks during two years at Michigan State.
The 20-year-old has seen limited action in his rookie season with the Charlotte
Hornets, but will be vying to become the first player to win the Slam Dunk
Contest in front of a hometown crowd since Blake Griffin's victory in 2011.

Elsewhere on the NBA betting lines ahead of Saturday night's festivities, Kings point guard De'Aaron Fox sits as a solid +250 favorite to emerge victorious in the NBA All-Star Skills Challenge. Dallas Mavericks rookie phenom Luca Doncic follows at +325, just ahead of Hawks rookie Trae Young at +375, and Memphis Grizzlies point guard Mike Conley at +550, while Denver Nuggets big man Nikola Jokic joins Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum at +600 on those NBA specials.
