The Preakness Stakes Odds give American Pharoah a 5/6 chance to complete the double on May 16th. After winning the Kentucky Derby as the 5/2 pre-race favorite, American Pharoah is going to try what no horse has done since 1978: win the Triple Crown. While American Pharoah will be at Pimlico Race Course on Saturday, May 16 for the 140th running of the Preakness Stakes. You do not need to wait up until then to put your bets on. You can readily bet at Bodog (Canada) or Bovada (US) on American Pharoah at 5/6 to win on the Preakness futures market. He is also 9/4 to win both the Preakness and the Belmont Stakes and complete the Triple Crown.
American Pharoah will have to face some stiff competition along the way to his Triple target. Firing Line and Dortmund, the other leading three finishers at the Kentucky Derby, will line up with the unbeaten colt at Pimlico. Two competitors who he passed on Churchill Downs will also be among the competitors for the Preakness: Divining Rod, who completed third at the Tampa Bay Derby, and Bodhisattva, who took top place in last month’s Federico Tesio Stakes at Pimlico.
Preakness futures odds will be available on these and other horses (up to the maximum field of 14) as the field fills. The Early morning Line odds will be offered following the post position draw on Wednesday, May 13 at 6:00 PM ET.
